Many types of toads estivate (it's like hibernating, just a little different) during hot summer conditions. They can burrow underground and hang out until conditions are suitable. I've taken after this Western Spadefoot toad in relation to my blog these past five months. However, I'm finding conditions suitable to blog again. As my Dad always says, "There are toads about!", so keep your eyes open!
